Please note that canceling your subscription disables the auto-bill function. You will still be able to access and use your account up to the listed Expiration Date. 

Is not about learning how to do some metaphors and add them to your library to repeat them over and over again in your maps as many people do with their icons.

If you draw the same bunch of icons over and over again, you will always arrive to the same graphical solutions. 

It's about learning to think laterally through a metaphor in order to catch people's attention and make them think through a drawing.

Icons convey just explanations. Metaphors convey messages through little stories.

There are many good courses on Visual Thinking. It is difficult for me to say the exact difference with what the others offer because I do not know them all. But indeed, this will clarify better what this membership is about:

With this course, you will learn to think disruptively. You will not learn to draw. Visual Thinking has nothing to do with drawing nice or having a library of icons. It has to do with simple drawing to convey a message, explain an idea, visualize a situation that tells a story through disrupting images that catch people's attention. All the lessons aim to learn that.

Apart from the prerecorded classes, you also get access to two weekly posts in the first community dedicated especially to Visual Metaphors. Two posts per week created to provoke your mind to keep your creativity trained.

Another key thing is that I constantly give feedback on everything you post or ask in the Course or the Community, no matter what plan you choose.

With this membership, you will learn Visual Thinking through visual metaphors without doing clichés.

A characteristic of the content of this Annual Membership is that there is no blah blah.

Blah blah is whatever content we use just to decorate a speech or to give secondary information.

All the lessons are short because I go right to the point with added value information that makes a difference. This characteristic is vital because you can complete the lessons in a short time.

Then you will keep that knowledge trained through the weekly inputs that you will receive during the year in the Metaphors Community.

All plans include access to the Community. But don't think of this space as a place where you are forced to participate by writing or posting things actively. This Community is, more than anything, a visual gym for you to train your lateral thinking. It's your metaphorical thinking workout!

Even if you don't post or comment, regularly watching and reading the two weekly posts will train and develop your lateral visual thinking.

Bellow each video lesson where I explain a metaphor technique, you will find a specific exercise that will help you to incorporate and understand what I taught you. You can then send it to me by email, and I'll give you personalized feedback. These exercises are optional. You can choose them to do it or not.

At the end of the fourth stage, you also have a final exercise to apply what you have learned throughout the course. It also helps me to understand if you get the main concepts or if I need to help you clarify some things.

I understand that sometimes it could be difficult for some people who are not used to speaking English daily. I'm not a mother tongue speaker, so I've been there. That's why I speak slowly and clearly, and to help you even more, all the lessons have captions in English so you can read and understand what I say.
